Who we are
BJJLog is developed and operated by Petr Kahanek, a software developer based in the Czech Republic. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
Information BJJLog handles
BJJLog stores the training information you enter, including session dates, session type, uniform, mood, outcome, selected techniques, notes, belt promotions, and drawings you make on the training canvas. This information is stored locally on your device.
If iCloud is enabled for BJJLog, Apple's private CloudKit database syncs this information between your devices. If you choose to keep sessions in an iCloud Drive file, BJJLog writes that file to your own iCloud Drive. The developer does not have access to your private iCloud data.
App preferences, such as which weekdays are labeled in the training heatmap, are stored on your device.
Optional canvas summaries
BJJLog can summarize a training canvas only if you add your own OpenAI API key and ask for a summary. When you do, the canvas images and a summary request are sent directly from your device to OpenAI using your key. The request asks OpenAI not to store it. The resulting summary is saved on your device.
Your API key is stored in your device Keychain, is limited to this device, and is not sent to the developer. OpenAI processes these requests under its own terms and privacy policy. If you do not add an API key, nothing is sent to OpenAI.
Information we may receive
BJJLog does not require registration and does not send your training log to the developer. If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send.
Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information through App Store and TestFlight services, depending on your device and privacy settings. Apple handles that information under its own privacy terms. BJJLog does not add third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How information is used
Your training information is used only to show your log, calendar, heatmap, and trends inside the app. Information sent to support is used only to answer your request, investigate a problem, protect the app, or meet a legal obligation. It is not used for advertising or sold to anyone.
Exports
You can export your sessions as a TSV file. The file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to share or save it.
Sharing and legal requests
BJJLog does not sell or rent personal information and does not include cross-app tracking, advertising, data brokers, or third-party analytics. Information received by the developer may be shared only with service providers needed to respond to you, or when required by law, a valid legal process, or the protection of someone's rights and safety.
Retention and deletion
You can edit or delete sessions and other entries in BJJLog. Deleting the app removes its local data; synced data may remain in your private iCloud account until removed there or from another synced device. Files you exported or saved to iCloud Drive remain until you delete them.
Support messages are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, keep a record of the issue, or meet a legal obligation.
Security
BJJLog limits data movement by keeping your log on your devices and in your private iCloud account when enabled. No method of storage is completely secure, and the security of your device and iCloud account also depends on Apple's systems and your account settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information held by the developer. Your training log is controlled directly by you inside the app and your iCloud account. For information sent to support, contact [email protected].
Children
BJJLog does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or developer-run service. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child sent personal information directly to support.
